Sampling Instructions
Standard sampling pump and tube. |
| Preparation |
Bring equipment compartment up to operating temperature to ensure an accurate sample is taken in normal operating conditions |
| Clean the compartment opening to avoid foreign particles distorting the sample results |
| Taking the Sample |
Screw bottle into position on gun |
| Attach the new tubing to the suction gun |
| Insert the end of the tubing into oil compartment |
| Draw back the handle of the suction gun |
| Continue until sample bottle is at least ¾ full |
| Remove and discard plastic tubing (this is not to be re-used) |
| Detach the sample bottle from the pump |
| Insert the red stopper on the bottle to prevent leakage during transit |
| Screw the cap onto sample bottle to secure the seal |
| Place bottle in the zip lock plastic bag |

Complete Sample Description Sheet as outlined above. |
| Peel
off the second sample number sticker provided on the bottom of the form
and stick onto the lid of the bottle to ensure that documentation is
tracked to the sample. |
| Peel off the "customer to retain" sample number sticker to retain with your records |
| Despatch |
Seal the zip lock plastic bag |
| Place the completed form and the sealed plastic bag containing the numbered sample bottle into the black mailing canister |
| Despatch by mail or courier |
| If
the test results are required urgently, please include an email address
so we can notify you immediately the analysis has been completed. |
| A hard copy of the report will be mailed to the address on the front of this form. |
